Draft for legal review. Version 2026-10.
What we collect
- Your account: first name, email address, and that you're 18 or older if you host.
- Location: only when you check in at a restaurant or activate a restaurant, to confirm you're really there. We store how far you were from the restaurant, not your exact location.
- Your nights out: the places you voted for, check-ins, headcounts, bill totals and spin results.
- Restaurants: business details from public listings and the ABN register, contact details, and payment details (held by Stripe, not us).
How we use it
To run nights out and spins, to stop cheating, to bill restaurants, and to show restaurants totals about their tables. Restaurants see your first name, table size and bill for tables at their venue. They don't see your email.
Who we share it with
Service providers that run the app for us: Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Twilio (codes), Resend (email), Mapbox and Google (maps and listings), and Anthropic (writing emails to restaurants). We don't sell personal information.
Marketing emails
We only email businesses at addresses they publish for their business, and every marketing email has an unsubscribe link that works straight away.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, at hello@shouldwechews.com. We keep spin records for five years because the law requires records of prize promotions.
